MATHCOUNTS

MATHCOUNTS in Alaska

MATHCOUNTS is a national program designed to improve math skills among U.S. students.  The program focuses on middle school students, who are at a crucial state in developing and sustaining math interest and ability.   Alaska MATHCOUNTS begins each year with local competitions in Fairbanks, Juneau, Anchorage, and remote.  The winners of the local competition travel to the State Competition in March to compete for a chance to go to the National MATHCOUNTS Competition in May.
